Hands-On Tech Labs

Tech labs enhance students' museum experience by allowing them to explore a science topic in an interactive, hands-on setting. Most labs utilize Design Challenge Learning, an exciting, fun process that enables students to engage in an open-ended design process that results in an original solution. All of our labs align with California standards of learning.

Tech Challenge

Tech Challenge is FUN! It is an annual hands-on math, science and design team challenge for youth in Grades 5-12 created by The Tech Museum of Innovation. Designed to get at the heart of innovation it provides youth with an opportunity to apply technology to solve real world problems. It is an exciting way to learn teamwork, skills key to innovation including design process and how to handle failure, as well as honing presentation skills. Leading underwriters are Brocade and Cadence.
